Strict against offenders
During the International Beetle Weekend, all visitors must adhere to the house rules of the International Beetle Weekend. Willful violators of the General Visitor Regulations and/or the Camping Regulations* will be irrevocably removed from the site by security.
Opening hours
The International Beetle Weekend starts on Friday at 13:00.r. The gates open and the campsite is also open. We close at 6:00 PM on Sundays. It is possible to camp earlier. Please book at Camping De Bergen in Wanroij. The organization emphatically points, also on behalf of the municipality and police, to the prohibition of ‘wild camping’ and strongly advises visitors not to come to the IKW until Friday morning, not earlier. It is not allowed to drive on the campsite between 22:00 and 08:00, except for driving to the campsite.
Access
The campsite is accessible for cars, buses and campers with a maximum weight of 3500 kg. If you have a camping vehicle heavier than 3500 kg. Please contact the organization for a suitable solution. Trucks, large trailers and car ambulances are not allowed on the campsite and are not allowed. This will be dealt with more strictly than in previous years. Trailers and car ambulances must be parked in the designated trailer parking area.
Pitching tents, caravans and campers
You will find your pre-booked camping pitch on the instructions of the organization. Please note: the driving paths as well as the emergency exits must be kept clear at all time, due to fire regulations. Every camper has reserved a camping pitch in advance; standing together is only possible if a reservation has been made in advance.
Cars on the Campsite
Cars, motorcycles and luggage carts can be parked at the campsite, near your tent, caravan or motorhome. Our air-cooled-only campsite is only accessible to air-cooled Volkswagens. You can park your water-cooled car in the special ‘Long-term Parking’ parking lot, not on the campsite itself. If you do this, you will receive part of the entrance fee that you paid for your water-cooled car back (you then only pay for parking on Saturday and Sunday in the parking lot. Of course you can bring your belongings to the campsite and pick them up again.
Please drive slow and safe on the campsite
The Dutch road traffic law applies to the entire site, including the campsite. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and the vehicle must be insured and MOT approved. Mopeds, trikes, quads, minibikes and scooters are not allowed on the site, with the exception of vehicles belonging to the organisation. The maximum speed on the site is 10 km/h. Driving with or under the influence of alcohol is not tolerated. Drinking in traffic is a crime! Drivers who are guilty of reckless or irresponsible driving behavior will be removed from the event by the organization.
Power supply
There are limited power connections available at the campsite. Aggregates are not tolerated or allowed.
Keep the Campsite clean
There will be enough places to deposit rubbish. Garbage bags will also be distributed. These are also collected daily. Clean up your own mess and just take your stuff home with you. Pay particular attention to glass (shards) and tent pegs. A better environment starts with yourself! If you leave an excessive amount of rubbish behind, the clean-up and disposal costs will be recovered from the polluter.
No open fire
Open fires are absolutely not allowed by order of the fire brigade. So no torches, bonfires, fire baskets, etc. Lighting a fire means being permanently removed from the campsite. Be aware that a (intentionally harmless) fire can have serious consequences if that fire spreads to a tent, caravan, camper or car.
No sound system
Huge sound systems with which you can provide the entire campsite with your favorite music are not allowed, same for megaphones. If you have a small sound system with you, the organization determines the maximum volume, not you! Singing and partying is allowed as long as it doesn’t bother your neighbors. All sound systems are switched off at 01:00 at the latest.
No tap installation
Professional tapping installations are not allowed and will be confiscated immediately.
No sales
Trade is not allowed on the campsite, but car boot sales are allowed.
Organisation
Employees of the organization are present at the campsite 24 hours a day and we make sure that they can be recognized. They are there in the interest of the visitors and will be able to answer all your questions. In addition, the organization is always decisive in everything that these regulations do not provide.
In the event of an emergency (accident, fire, destruction, etc.) or other urgent matters, you can contact the organization of Aircooled accommodation/camping via the information on the contact page.
